Job Description

Company Overview
This company develops a next-generation cloud robotics platform utilizing cutting-edge control and artificial intelligence technologies. It also provides development, implementation, and operational support for robotic solutions. With a team of highly skilled engineers from over 20 countries and a bilingual sales force deeply versed in robotics, the company delivers optimal solutions tailored to each client's needs.

Position: Project Manager

▼Role & Responsibilities

This position plays a critical role in leading internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful initial implementation of the company's solutions at logistics sites. Depending on your background, you will be assigned a specific solution, with projects ranging from tens of millions to several billion yen in value. This is a challenging opportunity that offers exposure to cutting-edge robotics technology and a chance to grow your market value.

During the initial implementation phase, clients may request additional features under tight deadlines. You will need the ability to simplify complex problems, analyze based on first principles, and act decisively without fear of failure. Crucially, you must balance respecting customer needs with ensuring scalable solutions, avoiding overly customized implementations through careful negotiation and internal alignment.

▼Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Engagement: Work closely with the sales and business analysis teams in the final sales stages to understand customer needs and finalize solution details.

  • Proposal Leadership: Create detailed proposals and requirements documentation after contract closure, ensuring the solution meets client needs. For larger projects, collaborate with internal logistics experts and business analysts.

  • Implementation Coordination: Lead the entire implementation process by coordinating with clients, network integrators, contractors, vendors, and internal software and hardware teams. Manage schedules and ensure seamless delivery.

  • UAT and Support: Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and hyper-care phases onsite, ensuring a smooth transition and post-launch support.

  • Post-Implementation Improvement: Monitor solution performance after deployment, gather customer feedback, and plan/execute necessary improvements. Collaborate with the product team to enhance or add features based on field insights.

▼Requirements

Must-have (any of the following or similar experience):

  • Proven experience completing projects from kickoff to closure as a Project Manager, regardless of industry or product

  • Experience in launching or operating logistics warehouses or factories

  • Background in production/manufacturing engineering for large-scale plants or factories

  • Experience in steel, glass, large-scale food (from raw materials to products), or chemical industries

  • Experience leading business process improvements through stakeholder engagement (including end users), from proposal through implementation

  • Experience leading requirements definition through release for large-scale software systems (e.g., WMS, ERP) as a system engineer, developer, or consultant

  • Ability to work proactively and independently in uncertain or ambiguous environments, with a desire to grow as a key contributor

  • Strong customer empathy and the ability to negotiate scope adjustments as needed with flexibility and tact

  • Demonstrated leadership in organizations, projects, or extracurricular activities

  • Strong communication skills in Japanese and an understanding of Japanese business practices

  • Comfortable using English in internal communications

▼Benefits

  • Competitive compensation aligned with your expertise

  • Opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking advancements in robotics within a cutting-edge work environment

  • Diverse and inclusive multinational workplace culture

  • Flexible working arrangements available
