Room Attendants are responsible for effectively cleaning and presenting the assigned guest room(s) to meet and exceed the Marriott Hotels brand standard requirements including but not limited to the following tasks:
· Change linens, make beds, vacuum all areas, dusting
· Thoroughly cleans, scrubs, and washes bathroom areas
· Replace guest supplies and amenities
· Exchange curtains, sheers and other furnishing when required
· Collect and store soiled laundry on linen cart
· Report any damages to furniture, fixtures, and electrical appliances
· Keep the Housekeeping Linen Room clean and tidy
· Collect garbage
· Ensure the floor master key is received and returned each shift
· Reports and hands all lost & found items to supervisor
· Reports any unusual, irregular guest behaviours relating to safety and security hotel policies
· Perform assigned cleaning tasks as per Deep Cleaning Tracker
· Supports the team as required
· Performs other tasks assigned by management
Requirements
· Full-time position means o pen availability to work any day of the week and any shift varying from daytime, mid-day, weekends, holidays, weekly, as needed
· Beginner or better, command of English language
· Physically fit to perform moderately physical work: constant standing, walking, kneeling and moving in a brisk pace for 8-hour shifts
· Able to lift up to 50 lbs
· Work experience in cleaning field an asset
· Must be able to understand and follow WHMIS at all times
· Must be a team player
