Position: Sales Representative Department: Textiles Department Reports to: Team Manager Job Description Summary The Sales Representative will be responsible for driving sales growth, securing new customer accounts, and promoting the company’s latest fabric developments and innovations through business trips and direct client engagement in designated markets. This role focuses on maximizing sales volumes and generating profit, while also collaborating closely with Sales Coordinators and Assistants to support their development in textiles knowledge and problem-solving. Strong selling skills, a proactive approach to market expansion, and the ability to train and mentor team members are essential. Key Responsibilities - Sales Growth and Revenue Generation: Actively pursue new business opportunities to expand the client base, increase sales volumes, and generate additional revenue for the company by consistently promoting the company’s offerings and value proposition. - New Customer Acquisition: Identify and develop relationships with potential clients through research, networking, and targeted outreach, working to secure long-term partnerships and grow market presence. - Product Pitching and Business Development Trips: Conduct business trips to pitch the company’s latest fabric developments and innovations, demonstrating the benefits and unique qualities of products to prospective and existing clients. - Client & Agent Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong agent & client relationships through regular follow-ups, personalized service, and responsiveness to customer needs, maintaining a high standard of customer satisfaction. - Collaboration with Sales Coordinators and Assistants: Work closely with Sales Coordinators and Assistants, guiding them in supporting customer needs, coordinating order logistics, and managing documentation to ensure smooth operations. - Team Training and Knowledge Building: Provide training and mentorship to Sales Coordinators and Assistants, helping to expand their understanding of textiles, fabric production, and sales techniques while addressing any concerns they may have. -Market Research and Reporting: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences, using insights to develop tailored sales strategies and provide valuable feedback to the sales team. - Order Oversight and Problem Resolution: Monitor order progress and address any issues related to production, quality, or delivery, working with internal teams and factory partners to maintain high standards and client satisfaction. -Sales Target Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed individual and team sales targets, contributing to the department’s overall performance and profitability.
