The Opportunity The Scrum Master role is important to the success of AmpliFund as a key member of the Development team. The Scrum Master is a servant leader who helps the team self-organize and achieve its goals using effective Agile practices, specifically the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). This position collaborates with other agile teams to identify, promote, and adopt best practices and lessons learned to optimize the team.
Key Responsibilities - Help ensure the team follows Agile best practices and product development processes
- Facilitate and schedule Agile and SAFe events including Daily Stand Up, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement
- Contribute and assist with the organization of Program Increments as well as the Program Increment Planning events
- Ability to identify team problems proactively and find resolutions
- Collaborate with Product team to ensure team execution and performance are aligned with business objectives
- Coordinate with other Scrum Masters on solutions and delivery timelines
- Capability to serve as Scrum Master for up to two scrum teams
- Remove team impediments by working with other members in the organization to find solutions
- Collaborate with Product Development leadership to build an agile culture within the teams
- Create and update reporting and analytics on the scrum teams
Required Skills & Experience - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, information systems, or other related disciplines
- 2+ years experience serving in a Scrum Master role
- 2+ years experience working with the Software Development Life Cycle
- Experience working with application lifecycle management software (Jira/Confluence, Azure DevOps, etc.)
- Strong communications skills and soft skills
Preferred - Scrum certifications (CSM, CSPO, SAFe SSM, or comparable)
- Background in application development
- Capable of working autonomously
Location: This position will be hybrid with 3 days/week in our Oakville office.
