Job title:
Agile Project Manager / Scrum Master


Duration:
6-month contract (Montreal, Quebec)

We're seeking an experienced Agile Project Manager/Scrum Master to support a fast-paced IT environment with a focus on leading Agile development teams and promoting continuous improvement. This role is ideal for a proactive, team-oriented leader passionate about driving Agile adoption, optimizing team performance, and managing software delivery across technical projects.


Principal tasks and responsibilities include:


· Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
· Guide product owners in maintaining and prioritizing product backlogs.
· Support the team by identifying and removing roadblocks that impede progress.
· Track and communicate Agile metrics such as velocity and burndown charts.
· Coordinate software releases and facilitate communication across technical teams and stakeholders.
· Foster a culture of collaboration and self-organization within Agile teams.
· Act as a mentor and coach to team members and other departments adopting Agile practices.
· Promote Agile best practices and support ongoing process improvement initiatives.
· Ensure adherence to internal standards and project governance frameworks.

Qualifications and pre-requisites:


· 6+ years of experience leading Agile projects, with a strong background in Scrum, Kanban, or Lean methodologies.
· Demonstrated success managing cross-functional teams and software delivery in complex IT environments.
· Effective communicator and facilitator with strong interpersonal skills.
· Proven ability to influence teams and stakeholders while fostering a culture of transparency and accountability.
· Proficient in Agile tools and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and SharePoint.
· Agile certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Master) are an asset.
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
