Job Description

As a Scrum Master, you will play a key role in facilitating and optimizing Agile development processes within a new team. You will ensure that teams can work effectively and produce high-quality results. You will facilitate Scrum events, collaborate with Product Owners to ensure user stories are well-defined, and encourage collaboration and open communication within the team and with external stakeholders. You will promote a culture of continuous improvement and help the team identify and implement process improvements.

Responsibilities
Facilitate Scrum events such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.
Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure user stories are well-defined and ready for sprints.

Encourage collaboration and open communication within the team and with external stakeholders.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and help the team identify and implement process improvements.
Track and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) related to team productivity and product quality.
Train and coach team members on Agile/Scrum principles and practices.
Facilitate cross-team coordination for larger-scale projects.
Ensure compliance with company standards and methodologies.

Qualifications
3 to 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master.
Experience working in a company or department with multiple teams with which collaboration is necessary.
Scrum Master certification required.
In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies and Scrum practices.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to motivate and inspire teams.
Project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Experience with project tracking tools (JIRA).
Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Summary
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Scrum Master for a hybrid position with 2 days per week in the office in Montreal. This 5-month contract, until the end of December 2025, is renewable and requires proficiency in both French and English. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience and must have worked in a company or department with multiple teams with which collaboration is necessary. You will be part of a new team consisting of one tech lead developer, 4 developer, 4 QA, and one QA test coordinator.
