Title:             Security Guard - Casual (permanent)

Location:      Esterhazy, Saskatchewan (SK)

Rate:            $26.25 / per hour

Shifts:          12 hours (days or nights)

Schedule:     5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or 5:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

Allied Universal is currently seeking reliable and motivated Security Guards to join our team at Esterhazy, SK.  If you're looking for an opportunity to enter the security field, then this opportunity is for you. This is an entry-level position; we will work with your availability for shifts and maintain you on our schedule rotation.  Priority will be given to our casual guards, for permanent positions.  No prior security experience is required.  

Your primary role will be to ensure the safety and security of employees, equipment, and facilities by maintaining a visible presence and monitoring the site for any security breaches or hazards. 

Responsibilities: 

• Conduct a visitor orientation, ensuring that have completed all required clearances, before entering the site.
• Must be able to clearly and concisely, make internal announcements, using the PA system.
• Provide detailed reports, while using a computer, of daily activities, observations, and any security incidents.
• Must be vigilant in monitoring CCTV cameras, for the location.
• Monitor and patrol the mining site to prevent unauthorized access and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Check vehicles and personnel entering or leaving the site, verifying credentials, and logging activity.
• Conduct routine inspections of the perimeter, fences, gates, and access points to ensure they are secure.
• Respond quickly to alarms, security breaches, or emergencies, and follow established protocols to manage incidents.
• Communicate regularly with supervisors and other security personnel via radio or other communication devices.
• Assist in enforcing company policies, site-specific rules, and safety procedures.
• Support on-site staff with security concerns and conflict resolution.

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age, due to mining regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience. 
• Must be eligible to work in Canada, valid work visa, permanent residence or citizen.
• Have a valid SK Driver’s license, able to provide a driver's abstract.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.  Candidates confidentiality is maintained. 
• Strong verbal and written English skills.
• Proficent in the use of computers, including excel.
• Possession of First Aid and CPR are considered an asset.
