Company Profile

• A global leader in environmental solutions is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Japan finance team. This is a full-cycle accounting position ideal for a hands-on finance professional who thrives in a dynamic, mission-driven environment. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end accounting process while supporting both local operations and regional/global reporting needs.
  As the business continues to evolve and grow, you'll play a key role in maintaining compliance, improving processes, and helping steer the company toward its sustainability and digital finance goals.

The Role

• Manage full-cycle accounting including journal entries, AP/AR, fixed assets, and tax support
• Handle monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings in accordance with JGAAP and IFRS
• Prepare financial reports and support consolidation reporting for regional HQ
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders
• Monitor internal controls, support process improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with corporate policies
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes alongside the FP&A team
• Communicate with overseas HQ on financial reporting and process alignment

Your Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5-8 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in a multinational company
• Knowledge of JGAAP; IFRS experience is an advantage
• Experience managing end-to-end accounting operations
• Proficiency in both Japanese and English (business level required)
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently
• CPA, Nissho Boki Level 2 or higher is a plus

Salary

• 5,000,000 yen - 6,500,000 yen
