About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team and transform raw data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will have expertise in data visualization, report creation, and analytics, leveraging Microsoft Power BI to deliver data-driven solutions. This role requires a combination of technical skills, business acumen, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis and Visualization:

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.

• Analyze data from multiple sources to provide insights and trends.

• Transform raw data into meaningful and modern visualizations for decision-making.

• Advanced visualization techniques such as waterfall charts, financial heatmaps, tree maps, and dynamic slicers for real-time financial data insights.

Data Management:

• Connect and integrate data from various sources (SQL, Snowflake, Databricks, Excel, cloud platforms, etc.).

• Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency within Power BI datasets.

• Develop and maintain data models and relationships in Power BI.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Work with business users and stakeholders to gather requirements and understand reporting needs.

• Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support strategic initiatives.

• Train and support end-users in utilizing Power BI dashboards.

• Optimize dashboards for performance and scalability.

• Implement data governance and security measures, including Row-Level Security (RLS) in Power BI.
• Monitor and troubleshoot Power BI reports and systems.

Documentation and Continuous Improvement:

• Create and maintain documentation for Power BI reports, processes, and data flows.

• Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and industry trends.

• Continuously enhance reporting processes for efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential:

•  Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI (Power Query, DAX, and data modeling).

•  Strong knowledge of SQL for data extraction and manipulation.

•  Familiarity with data visualization best practices.

•  Experience working with large datasets and integrating multiple data sources.

•  Experience of using APIs with PowerBI 

Knowledge of advanced analytics tools (Python, R)

•  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

•     Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).

•     Familiarity with other BI tools

•     Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Soft Skills:

•     Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

•     Ability to translate technical data insights into business-friendly language.

•     Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in Power BI development and data analysis.
