Are you a seasoned Senior Oracle Database Administrator with 10+ years of experience to join a dynamic infrastructure team supporting critical database environments. You will work on Oracle 12c/19c with multi-tenant architecture, RAC, ASM, and cloud hosting services. Your role will focus on configuration, tuning, performance optimization, backup/recovery, and data protection, supporting both existing infrastructure and new client onboarding.
Our Client is looking for a Senior Database Administrator for a contract term of 9 months, this is a hybrid role (3 days onsite at 222 Jarvis St 📍, 2 days remote) requiring hands-on expertise and proactive database lifecycle management.

Responsibilities
• Design, install, configure, and maintain Oracle 12c/19c RAC environments using ASM

• Administer and tune multi-tenant Oracle databases hosted on public cloud platforms
• Configure Oracle Dataguard for physical/logical standby databases
• Perform RMAN backup and restore operations
• Implement database encryption using ASO/TDE
• Manage Oracle Enterprise Manager 19c for alerting, reporting, and performance oversight
• Execute SQL optimization and performance tuning
• Automate tasks using UNIX shell scripting
• Support onboarding of new applications into the Shared Utility Service database hosting environment
• Maintain configuration compliance and perform database health checks
• Monitor OEM alerts and proactively resolve database incidents
• Perform incident, change, and configuration management using established ITSM processes

Qualifications
Must Have
• 10+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA
• Proficiency in Oracle 12c & 19c multi-tenant architecture
• Strong experience with RAC, ASM, and Grid Infrastructure
• Expertise with Oracle Dataguard (physical/logical setup and maintenance)
• RMAN backup and restore proficiency
• Implementation of ASO/TDE encryption for Oracle databases
• Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 19c configuration and management
• Strong UNIX shell scripting and SQL tuning experience
• Experience with Oracle DB hosting on public cloud services
• Experience with MS SQL Server configuration and support

Nice to Have
⭐ Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
⭐ Knowledge of Oracle GoldenGate, Advanced Compression, and Partitioning
⭐ Experience with DB2 to Oracle migrations
⭐ Familiarity with Oracle Engineered Systems and Solaris server environments
⭐ Understanding of OPS infrastructure standards and ITSM processes
⭐ Experience with Oracle auditing and alerting tools
⭐ Awareness of emerging trends in database technology
