Job Description
We are looking for a Senior GL Accountant who can assist in all aspects of general ledger accounting. This is a great opportunity to leverage full-cycle accounting knowledge, work with individuals in various functions throughout the business, and develop business acumen. This individual is a detail-oriented and highly organized team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn. This is a full-time, on-site position based out of Tomball, TX.
Key Responsibilities
Perform month-end closing assignments, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and analysis of income statement and balance sheet accounts.
Partner with the business to ensure complete, accurate, and timely accounting of all transactions.
Assist in the preparation of semi-annual and year-end audit requests, in addition to addressing questions as needed.
Assist in the development of process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting process.
Identify, develop, and ensure the application of internal controls over financial reporting related to all areas of responsibility, as needed.
Identify, communicate, and assist in implementing opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
Assist the manager in preparing tax filing documents.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Follow Company policies and procedures.
Physical Demands:
This position primarily involves working at a desk and operating a computer for prolonged periods with moderate walking and standing.
