Job Description



Server Assistant - Full Time
You are an ambassador for the exceptional service and cuisine that are hallmarks of our food & beverage experience. Your warm, personal attention and knowledge of our offerings makes guests feel unique and valued. Join Fairmont Waterfront and take part in the sustainable travel revolution at our harbor-front, eco-conscious hotel, which is home to Vancouver's first green roof and a honey bee apiary!

What you will be doing:

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Assist Food & Beverage Servers in all aspects of the dining experience
  • Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
  • Ensure proper set up of all side stations in the outlet
  • Have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions, menu items and preparation methods
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
  • Must be available to work a variety of shifts including early mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays

Qualifications



Your experience and skills include:

  • Previous service experience an asset
  • Previous Point of Sale system experience an asset
  • Excellent Communication and Organizational skills
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team
