Social Media Manager (Internship) Location Ottawa, ON :

Location: Toronto, Canada (Remote Position)

About Us: North Media Group is Canada's fastest-growing media/news outlet on social media, connecting Canadians to their cities through a diverse network. Our primary target audience is Gen Z and young millennials, and we strive to distribute content in the most easily digestible way.

Responsibilities:

• Generate, edit, and share a minimum of 5-10 pieces of engaging content daily on each social account (Instagram + Tiktok) (e.g., original text, photos, videos, and news via Canva)
• Ensure content provided aligns with ZLR Media & North Media groups brand voice, current benchmark trends, and audience preferences
• Ensure content is not against the platform's community guidelines or terms of service
• Compose engaging cultural captions on posts, maintaining unified brand consistency and voice across different social media channels
• Collaboratively work with account managers to grow social media platforms by developing, editing, and posting high-quality engaging content on North Media group's social media platforms and accounts
• Track and keep up to date with all relevant national news and events, developing creative content to ensure North Media Group becomes part of the conversation
• Post with the highest standard of clarity, accuracy, professionalism, and integrity
• Booking and conducting calls to better understand client needs if needed

Job Type: InternshipContract length: 5 months

Pay: $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: 3 - 15 per week
