Please note that we are an in-office company, which means the expectation is that you would come in to your Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. (Note this is not applicable for EpiSci job roles.)

About Tokyo

Applied Intuition entered the Japan market in 2019. The company has rapidly grown and established strategic relationships with major Japanese automotive OEM customers. Based in the Otemachi area, the Tokyo site consists of more than 40 employees who previously come from Google, Mobileye, TIER IV, Woven by Toyota, Tesla and other renowned companies.

About the role

We are looking for a software engineer who can support the entire development lifecycle, from the early decisions all the way through implementation and final integration.

At Applied Intuition, you will:

  • Design and integrate software modules for Applied AV stack
  • Work with a world class team with expertise on offroad and onroad AV development
  • Collaborate with customers’ engineers and manage customer relationships

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Passion about deploying advanced AV technology to real vehicles
  • Hands-on experience integrating and testing solutions on real, production-grade vehicles
  • Experience working on AV stack, both classical and ML-based
  • 3+ years of experience building production software using modern software practices
  • Enthusiasm for coming up with practical solutions to cutting-edge challenges in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with robotics software and middleware, and working on complex code bases
  • Familiarity with Python and C++ languages

Nice to have:

  • MSc or PhD in mechanical engineering or computer science
  • Experience writing software that is compliant with guidelines for safety-critical C++ code, such as MISRA and AUTOSAR
  • Experience applying machine learning techniques to autonomous driving
  • Experience writing high-performance C++ code
  • Experience working with trucks and commercial vehicles
