The Role

• Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports in accordance with accounting standards (e.g., JGAAP, USGAAP)
• Perform reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate reporting
• Assist in the preparation of tax filings, audits, and internal controls
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and external stakeholders, to ensure financial accuracy and transparency
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and company policies
• Provide support for any ad-hoc accounting projects and process improvements as needed
• Handle journal entries, accruals, and provisions as part of the GL closing process

Your Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in general ledger accounting or financial reporting
• Fluency in both Japanese and English (written and spoken)
• Knowledge of Japanese GAAP (JGAAP) and/or US GAAP preferred
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
• Nissho Boki 2 certification
• Fluency in Japanese & English

• 5,000,000 yen - 7,000,000 yen
