Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development.
  • 5 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
  • 5 years of experience testing and launching software products.
  • 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 8 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
  • 3 years of experience working in a matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.

This role is with the Regional Isolation team, which designs, develops, and deploys fundamental security infrastructure, primitives, and APIs for authenticating the physical origin of a connection. Using our products, Googlers can set location-based access controls on their production resources, eliminating cross-region security, reliability, and compliance risks. Furthermore, we provide Insights and Tooling to help us gauge our adoption, risks and success metrics.We build regional security solutions for all services at Google. Consequently, our solutions must be secure, performant, easy-to-use and must scale.
