Duties

• Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menus.
• Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety standards and regulations.
• Assist in the planning of menus, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling practices.
• Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during peak hours.
• Help train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety protocols.
• Participate in regular kitchen meetings to discuss menu changes, inventory needs, and team performance.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a food service or restaurant environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
• Strong skills in meal preparation, including chopping, cooking, baking, and plating.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing menus and special dietary requests.
• A passion for cooking and a desire to continually improve culinary skills.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 24 per week
