The Territorial Medical Device Reprocessing Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and effectiveness of medical device reprocessing across the Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA). As a subject matter expert, you will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of reprocessing programs in alignment with Accreditation Canada Standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
The Territorial Medical Device Reprocessing Specialist must demonstrate a high level of responsibility and independent judgment, as they are given significant autonomy in decision-making and incident investigations, directly impacting patient safety and organizational integrity.
In this position you will be responsible for identifying and mitigating risks, investigating patient safety incidents, and ensuring compliance with sterilization standards. This role requires a proactive approach to policy development, cross-territory collaboration, and leadership in complex investigations, including safety incidents and legal reviews.
Your work fosters a safe, respectful, and client-centered environment while maintaining expertise through direct hands-on reprocessing work. By driving program improvements and standardization efforts, this role enhances patient safety, organizational integrity, and public trust in healthcare services across the Northwest Territories.

Equivalencies:
