As the Visual Merchandising Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity of our bookstore and enhancing the overall customer experience. You will be responsible for curating captivating displays that showcase our diverse range of books and merchandise, while also creating an inviting and inspiring atmosphere for browsing and discovery. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement visual merchandising strategies that align with the bookstore's brand and drive sales.
Create visually appealing displays that highlight featured books, seasonal promotions, and thematic collections.
Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure that displays are refreshed regularly and reflect current trends and customer preferences.
Source and select props, signage, and display fixtures to enhance the visual presentation of merchandise.
Train and mentor bookstore associates on visual merchandising techniques and standards.
Stay informed about upcoming book releases, author events, and industry trends to inform decisions.
Monitor sales data and customer feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of merchandising strategies and make adjustments as needed.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in visual merchandising, preferably in a retail bookstore environment.
Strong leadership skills are paramount, must be able to assign tasks and hold the team accountable.
Strong creative vision and ability to curate visually compelling displays.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
