The Warehouse Manager will report to the General Manager and is responsible for the management of all inventory, warehousing, distribution, and logistics functions for the company. This includes accountability for inventory control, inbound and outbound freight, as well as adherence to legislative, safety, and organizational policies and procedures across owned and third-party sites. The Warehouse Manager role requires strong leadership and decision-making skills.
Your Responsibilities - Establish effective processes to ensure the proper reception, handling, distribution, and storage of all freight, product, and supplies that come in and out of all warehouses;
- Ensure all production orders are shipped to customers in a timely manner in adherence to delivery schedules;
- Lead and motivate a team to ensure work is being carried out effectively in a satisfying work environment;
- Work with the People & Culture team to hire, train, evaluate, discipline, and terminate employees as needed;
- Ensure delays or variances in inbound/outbound freight are communicated to the appropriate parties;
- Ensure strict control over inventory quantities through robust processes including verifications and counts. ;
- Plan warehouse layout and space requirements in order to prevent loss or damage, and to achieve full warehouse optimization;
- Take into account full implications of freight turnover, size, weight, and other factors when allocating warehouse space;
- Manage an annual budget or capital investment plan for warehousing functions across the organization;
- Assist in the development and/or enforcement of corporate policies regarding security and safety in order to maintain a safe working environment;
- Maintain appropriate and complete documentation regarding regulated products and/or hazardous materials;
- Assess the need for, and arrange the purchase of, equipment like trailers, forklifts, crash pads, dollies, and so on;
- Identify discrepancies between inventory records and take action;
- Investigate causes of lost or damaged shipments and other matters; make adjustments where necessary;
- Implement and monitor performance metrics for shipping and receiving;
- Manage facility design, improvements, and contracts, including real estate transactions, leases, repairs, and design; and
- Other duties as required.
What You Bring - University Degree or Diploma in Business or Operations Management;
- Direct working knowledge of managing operations, warehousing, and freight logistics;
- Direct knowledge of WHMIS and other safety systems;
- Familiar with inventory, warehouse, and logistics functions within an ERP, as well as implementation experience;
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
- Strong knowledge of warehouse documentation, with good writing skills;
- Solid project management skills are essential with excellent analytical and problem solving skills;
- Good financial and business awareness;
- Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization and its executive team;
- Strong quantitative and critical thinking skills;
- Team leadership and teambuilding abilities;
- Excellent conflict resolution skills, diplomacy, and tact;
- Persuasive, motivational, and persistent; and
- Excellent planning and resource allocation skills.

Your Experience - 5+ years’ experience within a CPG brand in a similar Production Manager, Supply Chain or Warehouse Manager position;
- Experience in managing third-party logistics providers;
- Experience working in GMP/GPP facilities strongly preferred; and
- Previous experience working in the regulated cannabis industry considered an asset.
