Your new role

You will oversee the development of project scope, budget, and schedule for electrical, instrumentation, and control systems within the mining operation. This role involves ensuring strict compliance with engineering standards, regulations, and safety protocols. You will manage and allocate resources efficiently to optimize project execution. Additionally, you will develop and implement robust engineering, procurement, and construction strategies to achieve project goals and objectives.

Your responsibilities will also include exercising risk management, producing comprehensive reports, and reviewing and evaluating engineering designs, construction strategies, and project control outputs. This multifaceted role is essential for maintaining the integrity and success of our projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

What you'll need to succeed

  • 8 to 10+ years of experience in mining and project management
  • Ability to oversee development of project scope, budget and schedule in electrical, instrumentation, and control systems within the mining operation
  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline. (Project management qualifications highly regarded)
  • Registered with the Quebec Order of Engineers (OIQ)
  • Bilingual (able to communicate with clients and stakeholders in English and French)
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, instrumentation engineering, or a related field
  • Project management skills in developing scopes, costs and schedules
  • High degree of business acumen
  • Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale projects
  • Leadership qualities to motivate and guide engineering, procurement and construction teams
  • Collaborative skills to work with functions and other areas in scope delivery
  • Ability to conduct thorough site inspections and evaluations
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting for performance assessment
  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline.
  • Project management qualifications highly regarded
