Job Description

VOLTA est une entreprise de services créatifs travaillant avec les plus grands noms de l’industrie du divertissement. Notre équipe de vétérans contribue au développement visuel des projets les plus prestigieux.

Vous serez chargé de créer ou d’adapter des modèles de haut niveau. Vos modèles devront répondre aux hauts standards visuels, créatifs et techniques de nos projets. Plus précisément, vous devrez :

  • Démontrer une grande polyvalence et un grand talent en termes de compétences en illustration, des esquisses approximatives aux pièces entièrement rendues qui correspondent aux normes AAA de l’industrie;
  • Respecter les contraintes techniques et de projets tout en créant des styles visuels variés;
  • Traiter les problèmes créatifs et techniques au fur et à mesure qu’ils se présentent;
  • Travailler en étroite collaboration avec d’autres artistes et directeurs artistiques;
  • Participer à des sessions de validation artistique pour assurer une haute qualité;
  • Déterminer et respecter les délais fixés par le service de production;
  • Participer activement aux réunions des équipes et des services;
  • S’acquitter d’autres tâches selon les besoins.

VOLTA is a creative services studio dedicated to creating high-end 2D and 3D visuals, as well as cinematics and animation for video games and film. Since 2006, our veteran team has delivered thousands of projects to the world’s most celebrated entertainment companies.

You will be responsible for creating or adapting high-level assets. Your assets will have to meet the high visual, creative and technical standards of our projects. Specifically, you will need to:

  • Demonstrate great versatility and great talent in terms of illustration skills from rough sketches to fully rendered pieces that match industry AAA standards;

  • Work effectively within the technical and project constraints while creating in a variety of visual styles;

  • address creative and technical issues as they arise;

  • Work closely with other artists and art directors;

  • Participate in artistic validation sessions to ensure high artistic quality;

  • Determine and respect deadlines and deadlines established with the production department;

  • Participate actively in team and department meetings;

  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

Exigences:

  • Portfolio soulignant vos compétences artistiques et techniques;
  • Maîtrise de Photoshop et d’un logiciel 2D/3D (Max, Maya, Blender, etc.) requise;
  • Connaissance de 3Dcoat, Zbrush ou d’autres logiciels permettant d’accroître la productivité est un atout;
  • Connaissance de l’anatomie humaine, de la perspective, de la composition, du design et de la théorie des couleurs;
  • Posséder une bonne connaissance des étapes de production d’un jeu vidéo;
  • Être créatif et s’adapter aux différents styles de jeu et styles graphiques;
  • Avoir une excellente culture artistique (jeux, multimédia, cinéma, etc.);
  • Faire preuve d’autonomie, de débrouillardise, d’organisation, de bonne gestion du temps et de rigueur;
  • Avoir l’esprit d’équipe, de la proactivité et une attitude positive.

Formation/expérience :

Formation collégiale ou universitaire en arts, multimédia, animation ou expérience équivalente;
Au minimum trois (3) années d’expérience dans l’industrie du film ou du jeu vidéo sur des projets AAA.

Requirements:

  • Portfolio highlighting your artistic and technical skills;
  • Great knowledge Photoshop and a 2D/3D software (Max, Maya, Blender, etc…) is required;
  • Knowledge of 3Dcoat, Zbrush or other software that increase productivity is an asset;
  • Knowledge of human anatomy, perspective, composition, design and color theory;
  • Good knowledge of the production pipeline of a game;
  • Be creative and adapt to different play styles and graphic styles;
  • Have an excellent artistic culture (games, multimedia, cinema, etc.);
  • demonstrate autonomy, resourcefulness, organization, good time management and rigor;
  • Have team spirit, proactivity and a positive attitude.

Training / experience:

  • College or university training in arts, multimedia, animation or equivalent experience;
  • A minimum of three (3) years experience in the film or video game industry on AAA projects.
