Peninsula Co-op is inviting applications from current staff members for the position of Assistant Manager at our Esquimalt Liquor Store , located at 1153 Esquimalt Rd, Victoria BC V9A 3N7 (Esquimalt Plaza). This is a full-time, permanent position that requires 32-40 hours per week. Our ideal candidate should have the availability to accommodate a diverse range of shifts, including weekdays and weekends, across different time periods each day. Afternoon and evening availability throughout the week are a must.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
The Assistant Manager's primary role is to support the Manager in producing budgeted operating results. They act in a leadership capacity to ensure the effective operation of the department. Key areas of responsibility include ensuring a pleasant, comfortable, and safe shopping experience for our customers; being a leader to
the team, providing support to enable them to do their jobs and develop their skills; ensuring the department is well merchandised, stocked, organized, spotlessly clean and adequately staffed; and administrative tasks like ordering, pricing and inventory. In a supporting capacity, the Assistant Manager will assist with recruitment, performance planning and reviews, period end and inventory management.
