Our partner is hiring an Executive Director of Workforce Development in Long Beach, CA.
Role Overview:
- Lead the Workforce Development Bureau within the Economic Development Department.
- Connect adults, youth, and businesses to job opportunities and skilled workers.
- Report to the Director of Economic Development.
- Manage three direct reports, 43 total staff, and a budget of $11 million.
- Ensure operations align with the vision of becoming a leading international city and talent hub.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee workforce development initiatives that support local economic growth and resident welfare.
- Guide educational initiatives from K-12 to career transitions.
- Foster team cohesion and a positive work culture.
- Utilize federal funding effectively to implement growth strategies, particularly in public services and space-related programs.

Benefits
