Objectives:


Based on the brand/functional plan, develop an MSL action plan through scientific engagement and teach and coach MSLs. Enhance daily MSL activities to contribute to the creation of scientifically important evidence. As a member of OFIMA (International Medical Affairs), work collectively to make a significant impact on patient care. Enhance the scientific and communicative capabilities of MSLs.

 

Summary of

Job Description

:

  1. Manage and lead a team of MSL (8 MSL’s)
  2. Teach and coach direct reports (MSLs) to deliver scientific engagement well
  3. Create and articulate medical educational strategy
  4. Regional KEE’s management with scientific communication
  5. Regional Speaker Identification and Development
  6. Implement publication strategy through IIS executions
  7. Develop scientific projects in partnership with health care practitioners
  8. Support regional training for sales team related science
  9. Reinforce brand message through the dissemination of clinical data
  10. Comprehensive coverage of medical congresses

 

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Support MSLs to deliver KEE (Key External Expert) management

Coach MSLs in order to:

  • Cultivate and develop scientific engagement with Medical Target KEEs
  • Understand the needs of developing strategic KEE interaction planning, develop the strategic interaction plan appropriately
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with KEEs prior to product launch through Multi-channel communication plan with KEEs
  • Provide scientific information and have a discussion with KEEs
  • Provide accurate TA (Therapeutic Area) knowledge and scientific message to KEEs (non-product)
  • Gain DPOs (Data Point Observations) through scientific discussions

 

  1. Support MSLs to deliver coordination Investigator Initiated Study (IIS) following new SOP (Contract-Based IIS)

Coach MSLs in order to:

    • Get information of IIS plan with AbbVie products and may proceed further AbbVie process with limited support
    • Understanding AbbVie IIS process
    • Take a role of SME (Subject Matter Expert) in proceeding the IIS process
    • Support other departments in scientific point of view
    • Provide scientific information

 

  1. Active participation and effective communication for product maximization cross functionally
    • Understand Brand Plan and Medical Plan for execution in the field
    • Provide feedback from the field after implementation of the functional plan
    • Identify appropriate KEEs for tactical action in Medical plan by understanding the target KEE's profile, treatment policy and/or his/her point of view

 

  1. One R&D collaboration (as needed)
    • Understand the local action plan and its objectives to support clinical development
    • Collaborate with Clinical Development in-field team to accelerate enrollment through scientific interaction

 

  1. Team Management
    • Support direct reports of MSLs and enhance their individual development plan (career plan)
    • By understanding TA/ Team policy, contribute to the team management in collaboration

 

  1. IFTe (In Field Team) playbook understanding & execution
    • Understand the Medical and other key stakeholders' actions including Commercial inIFTe playbook and execute accordingly
    • Collaborate in-field as one team and support other team members in Medical

 

  1. Active participation and effective communication for product maximization cross functionally
    • Enhance sharing product target profile and protocol design and pricing strategy
資格

Essential Skills & Abilities /Education :

  • Must have an undergraduate degree in science or pharmacology
  • Strong people management skills with people coaching skills
  • Exhibits sound decision making and communication skills
  • Masters in Science or PhD preferred
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical industry in Clinical Development, Safety department or research experience more than 3 years preferred
  • Affluent and accurate senses about pharmaceutical market
  • Drive for Results
  • Strong human relationship with people outside (especially KEEs)
  • High reputation among people inside and outside
  • Correct expression of view as to right or wrong of things
  • Clear recognition/discipline of performance
