Job Description We are seeking a PCB Librarian with meticulous and detail-oriented knowledge to manage and maintain our electronic component library. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, organizing, and maintaining accurate and standardized component data and footprints within our PCB design tools. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of our PCB design process.
What You'll Do - Manage PCB libraries for a multitude of customers with varying requirements and standards.
- Ensure IPC and company standards are adhered to for all libraries.
- Create detailed schematic symbols in multiple CAD software.
- Create accurate IPC-compliant PCB footprints in multiple CAD software.
- Interact with customers on a regular basis to ensure proper development of PCB Libraries.
- Interact with the PCB Design team on a regular basis to ensure libraries are functional.
- Maintain multiple logbooks for individual customers.
- Interpret electronic component datasheets and 3D mechanical drawings.
What You'll Need To Get The Job Done - Applicants must have good knowledge of computer operations and file structures.
- Be able to work as a team member.
- Be creative and innovative in problem solving.
- Be highly adaptable and skilled in learning several design software and functions.
- Have good oral and written communication skills and good inter-personal skills.
- Can work to specific design guidelines/rules and defined schedules.
- Demonstrate exceptional time management skills.
- Demonstrate above average attention to detail.
- Any combination of education any experience in electronics will be considered. College level electronics certification is preferred.
- Experience in Siemens Xpedition, DxDesigner, Cadence Allegro, OrCAD Capture or Altium Designer is an asset.
