About the role:

Reporting to the Supervisor Mine Maintenance the Plumber or Pipefitter / Gas Fitter is responsible for performing regular preventive maintenance diagnostics troubleshooting and repair of appliances equipment and accessories for a variety of facilities and systems at our Greenhills is a full-time hourly position that offers an attractive 4x4 day shift schedule. The position is site-based at our operations in the Elk Valley and the ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Elkford B.C is necessary.

In this role you will:

• Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
• Perform regular preventive maintenance diagnostics and complete repairs on HVAC units boilers and water and waste disposal systems
• Troubleshoot all system problems including disassemble and reassemble of system components
• Maintain create and record work order records
• In certain components of this role it is mandatory to wear a respirator which requires an interference free seal.

Requirements:

• Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Plumber or Pipefitter certification
• Class B Gas Fitting certification(or higher)
• Willingness to pursue a certification as a Class A Gas fitter
• Small Water and Small Wastewater systems ticket would be an asset
• Valid drivers license
• Working knowledge of basic computer systems (Microsoft Office)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team and to work cross functionally between trades
• Experience in a mining environment is an asset

Hourly Wage: $ 53.78
