As a Software Development Manager, your primary focus will be on leading a dynamic team to develop and innovate features that enhance the shopping experience for our global customer base. You will engage in strategic planning, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure the successful delivery of projects. Your role will involve mentoring team members, managing resources, and maintaining a high-performing engineering environment. You will also provide regular updates to senior management on development progress, quality, and system performance.

Key job responsibilities
· Oversee the entire software development lifecycle.
· Contribute to defining the long-term strategy and creating an achievable roadmap.
Manage and execute project plans and delivery commitments.
· Lead the day-to-day activities of the engineering team in an Agile/Scrum environment.
· Manage departmental resources, staffing, mentoring, and maintaining a top-tier engineering team.
· Provide regular reports on development status, quality, operations, and system performance to senior management.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 5+ years of engineering experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Bachelor's degree
